Made in Heaven explores the lives of two wedding planners, Tara and Karan, and their foray into the sparkling world of Delhi weddings. The show exposes everything – conspiracy, manipulation, lies and the superficial thought that goes into the organization of these “holy marriages”.
It stars Sobhita Dhulipala, Arjun Mathur, Jim Sarbh, as well as a group of brilliant actors. The story is beautifully woven and the representations are perfect (I lived in Delhi).
5. Laakhon Mein Ek

With an IMDB rating of 8.3 out of 10, you won’t be disappointed by Laakhon Mein Ek, an original from Netflix. Written by Biswa Kalyan Rath, this series explores a genre that most Indians know – the IIT dream.
Akash, played by Ritvik Sahore, is a mediocre student who unfortunately has to live his father’s ambition to see him enter the IIT. And so begins the dark and aggressive vision of the Indian education system and the death of a teenager’s dream.
Season 2 stars none other than Shweta Tripathi playing the role of a suburban doctor, and like Season 1, it’s a treat to watch.
6. Panchayat

TVF shows have always been known for their brilliant storytelling and excellent acting, and Panchayat is no different. If you liked Tripling for its madness, you will love Panchayat for its calm.
The message is essentially similar and it’s about finding yourself. Only in this case, you have to take a tour in the hinterland of Uttar Pradesh while Abhishekh Tripathi, played by Jitendra Kumar, joins the post of clerk in the village panchayat. And from there begins the story of the existence of the hinterland and the daily struggle.
The story is slow, but not so slow to bore you. And the best part is that the social message is subtle and doesn’t push it on your face.
Jitendra Kumar is joined by a brilliant case composed of Raghuvir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Faisal Malik and Chandan Roy.
6. Bard of blood

If you should know, Bard of Blood is based on a book of the same name by Bilal Siddiqi.

Sunny is a teenager in the sleepy town of Jamtara, Jharkhand, where he manages to scam people using various phishing techniques. If you thought this mind-blowing series was about how he jokes people, you’re really wrong. The whole story revolves around what happens after the phone call.
And so begins the game of cat and mouse between the crooks, the police and a local chief, while the hunter becomes the hunted.
Jamtaara only has 10 episodes in the first season, and the critics in his favor tell you the whole story.
9. Taj Mahal 1989

These two shows, in their respective capacities, pack all the essential elements in the good quality that goes into the making of a great show. You have an adrenaline rush and a great acting game followed by a brilliant narration.
In the case of Sacred Games, it is a cat and mouse game between Sartaj Singh, a police officer, and Gaitonde, a gangster.
On the other hand, Mirzapur is more about the drama that takes place between a mafia boss, his son and the imminent drama of chaos and anarchy.
