4 Best Ways to Download Multiple Files from Google Drive Without Zipping on PC
To be fair to Google, it's not their mistake. If you try to download large files or a set of files from anywhere on the Internet, Google will compress the file before downloading it. The problem with file compression is that the overall process takes a lot of time. First, the files are compressed, you must extract them before using them.
Many users want to avoid the compression process. They want to download several files directly. If you also want the same thing, check out these four methods to download files without compressing on Drive.
1. Using Google Drive App on PC
Google Drive only closes files when you download them via a browser. If you use Drive apps provided by Google, such a step is no longer necessary. People with regular accounts must use the backup and sync application while business owners can download Drive File Stream.
The Google Drive app for PC does not allow you to view the files in its interface. It creates a new folder on your PC that contains various files.
Here are the steps to follow to use the Backup and Sync application.

2nd stepOnce installed, you will be asked to sign in to the app with your Google Account. Log in with the account from which you want to download files.
Step 3: Because Backup and Sync works in two ways, that is, it downloads selected folders to Google Drive and synchronizes files from Drive to PC, you will be asked to select folders. that you want to synchronize from your PC. Deselect all folders if you are not interested. Leave the rest intact and click Next.
Step 4: This is an important step for our tutorial. You must now select the Google Drive folders from which you want to download files. You can change this later in the application settings. The folders you select will be synchronized with your PC. Select "Synchronize only these folders" if you want to choose the folders. If you want to sync everything from Drive, choose Sync All. Then press Start.
Note: You will find your files in the location of the folder mentioned in this step.
Note: Files outside folders will be synchronized automatically.
Step 5: A new folder called Google Drive will be added to your PC. You will find all the synchronized Drive files in this folder. Now simply copy or cut the files from this folder into the desired folder on your PC.
