The Apple Watch is an extraordinary connected watch. This slim and sleek smartwatch offers impressive performance from both a health point of view and a smart point of view. And although this is an Apple product, it does offer several interesting customization options. Well, if on some day you want to leave your iPhone at home, you can listen to music directly from your watch through headphones. You can add music, albums, and playlists right on your Apple Watch. Interesting, isn’t it?
All you need is a fully charged pair of truly wireless headphones, and you can listen to your favorite tunes (or podcasts) while you run and walk. Or, you can stream music directly to your watch. Either way, it provides a seamless experience.
Now that that’s taken care of, let’s see how to add and listen to music on your Apple Watch.
How to add music to Apple Watch from your iPhone
One of the requirements for adding music from your iPhone is that the track is available on Apple Music.
Step 1: Open the Watch app on your phone and navigate to the My Watch tab at the bottom.
Then scroll down until you see the Music option.
2nd step: When finished, tap the Add Music button under Playlist & Albums.
Now you will be redirected to Apple Music to select the music tracks.
Step 3: Find the songs and tracks you want to add and once you’ve selected one, tap the little three-dot button at the top. Next, tap Add to album.
Do this for all the remaining songs.
The songs will be queued and added to the Apple Watch once you place it on the charging pug next to your iPhone. Simple, right?
The next time you listen to a new song on Apple Music, tap the three-dot menu and select Add to album. The songs will automatically be added to the album by default. All you have to do is select and sync.
Pro tip: The Apple Watch also has the default feature to automatically add your recent music to your watch. If you’re not a fan of this feature, toggle the switch next to Recent Music.
At the same time, you can also add playlist from Apple Music.
How to remove music from the watch
Did you add the wrong song? You can easily remove it.
Just swipe left on the song and hit the delete button.
How to check storage
Now the Apple Watch doesn’t have infinite storage. In addition to music tracks, installed apps also hog a considerable amount of built-in storage.
Fortunately, there is storage that is easy to check out before you go too far.
Open the Apple Watch app on your phone and tap Settings> Storage.
The watch will analyze the storage and give you a clear picture within a few minutes. From there, you can decide to add new songs or delete existing ones.
How to Add Music to Apple Watch Directly
Interestingly, you can also add songs and albums right to your watch. However, the small screen may be a little less comfortable compared to your phone. Nevertheless, it is possible.
Step 1: Press the crown of your watch to access the application page. Select and open the Music app.
Now play a song to your liking.
2nd step: Press the three-dot button and select Add to Library. And that’s about it.
The next time you place your watch in its charging cradle, the selected tracks will be added immediately. At the same time, make sure the watch has a good internet connection.
