How to Add Photos and Pictures to Amazon Echo Spot

The Amazon Echo Spot beautifully balances both appearance and performance. On the one hand, this virtual assistant is compact and can be adapted anywhere. Its modern circular design means that it easily mixes with interior decoration items. Well, it comes with a screen. So whether it’s a YouTube video or a recipe for the perfect carrot cake, there is a lot you can do. Most importantly, you can easily chat via video with your friends and family.

And in addition to capabilities such as checking your reminders and your flight schedule, Amazon Echo Spot can also be used as a digital photo frame. Yes, the Spot offers a screen brightness of 250 nits, which is powerful enough to display photos and images in all their splendor. Installation is not difficult and hardly takes a long time.

In this article, we will see how to add photos and images to Amazon Echo Spot. For now, there are two ways to do this, so be sure to read until the end.

2. How to connect the Facebook application to Echo Spot

If your Echo Spot only displays one photo all the time, it can quickly get boring. The good news is that you can also have a slideshow of your favorite photos. The only limitation is that you cannot create a slideshow.

To do this, you will need to connect your Facebook account to the Echo Spot. Alternatively, you can also install Prime photos. If that suits you, let’s see how to get there.

On your phone

Step 1: Open the Alexa app and open the menu on the left. Tap Settings and go to Photos.

2nd step: You will see the option to link your Facebook profile. Tap Link Account, enter all of your credentials, and grant the necessary permissions.

After that, you will see the success message.

To test, just say “Alexa, show my photos” and Spot will display all recent Facebook photos from your Facebook timeline. Cool, right?

And the best thing is that it is a unique configuration.

On the Echo Spot:

Step 1: Once you have connected your Facebook account to your Amazon account, pull down the Quick Settings menu on your Echo Spot.

Tap the Settings icon and select the Home & Clock option from the list.

2nd step: Then press Clock and scroll down and select Personal photos> Background. Here you will see the options for Facebook and Amazon Prime photos.

Tap Facebook and you’ll see all of your albums on your Facebook profile.

Individual photos will not be displayed. Now select one of the albums, and that’s it.

Step 3: At the same time, you can also change the clock style. For now, the Echo Spot allows you to choose from 8 different styles.

To change it, tap the Clock Style option and select one from the list. When finished, tap Done to see your Echo Spot shine in a new light.

Note that you will not be able to crop and zoom in on the photos in your Facebook photos. As a result, some of the photos may appear a bit pixelated.

Cool tip: For best results, create a Facebook album containing the best of your photos. Once that, you can activate this particular album on your Spot.

Try different clock faces

By default, the Spot has an analog clock and over time it can get a little monotonous. Besides the photos, if you want to try different clock styles and backgrounds on your Echo Spot. Fortunately, it is also possible. For now, you can switch between multiple looks. I particularly like the owl face under Illustration.

To use a cool sundial, pull down the Quick Settings menu and tap Settings. Then go to Home & Clock> Clock and choose one of the options.

Once done, tap the little Tick icon to the right, and you should be sorted.

Did you know: You can turn off the option to view movie trailers. The option is available under Settings> Restrict access.
