How to Fix WhatsApp Audio Speed on Mobile and Desktop

WhatsApp app for iOS
WhatsApp uses a different interface on iPhone and Android. If you are having an audio speed issue on your iPhone, the above steps should help you fix it.
Step 1: Open WhatsApp on iPhone.
2nd step: Open a conversation whose voicemail message you want to listen to.
Step 3: Access the received voice message.
Step 4: Hit the play button and check the current speed in the chat bubble. Here is what they mean.
1 time – 1x means WhatsApp will play the voicemail message at normal speed.
1.5x – 1.5x indicates that the message will be read at a speed of 1.5x.
2x – 2x signals that WhatsApp will play the message at double speed.
If the voice message is displayed 1.5x or 2x, WhatsApp will play the voice message faster. This may cause discomfort while listening to the message.
You can press 1.5x, and it will speed up the audio to 2x. Again, press 2x, and it will revert to normal 1x speed. There is no way to slow down a voice message from 1x to 0.5x.
WhatsApp application for Android
The trick to fix WhatsApp audio speed on Android remains the same. Since it uses a slightly different user interface, let’s check out the steps in action.
Step 1: Access WhatsApp on Android.
2nd step: Open a conversation.
Step 3: Access the WhatsApp voicemail message.
Step 4: Read the message, press 1.5x or 2x and switch back to 1x for normal audio speed.
With WhatsApp, when you change the audio speed once, the service uses the same speed for all voice messages.

Mac WhatsApp application
WhatsApp implemented the same audio speed trick on desktop apps. If you are using WhatsApp on the desktop (now we have more reasons because WhatsApp offers multi-device support), you can use the trick below and fix the audio speed on the WhatsApp desktop.
Step 1: Open WhatsApp on Mac.
2nd step: Open a conversation that you want to listen to or send an audio message from.
Step 3: The 1x, 1.5x, or 2x buttons will not appear until you read the message.
Step 4: Press the Play button and click 1.5x or 2x to return to 1x speed.
Once you set 1x for the audio speed, WhatsApp will save it as the default preference and use the same audio speed when sending a voice message.
Fix audio speed on Windows WhatsApp application
WhatsApp for Windows also supports different audio speeds for voice messages. It also works great with multiple devices. Here is what you need to do.
Step 1: Launch WhatsApp on Windows.
2nd step: Open any conversation and listen to a voicemail message.
Step 3: Press 1.5x or 2x while playing the voicemail message, and it will change to 1x.
WhatsApp for the web uses a user interface and functions similar to those of desktop applications. You can apply the same trick on WhatsApp for web and fix the audio speed.
