For some users, only a few contacts do not appear in Google Duo. Some users have also reported that the app does not recognize all of their contacts. This problem is usually caused by misconfigured application permissions, corrupt cache files, or basic system / application problems. Interestingly, restarting your phone could help solve this problem. You should also make sure that your device has access to the Internet. If Google Duo still doesn’t show your contacts, continue to the solutions below.

1. Check contact details

First of all, you need to check and confirm whether the missing contacts are saved on your smartphone. If so, verify that the phone number or email address associated with the contact (s) are correctly registered. Removing the country code from the affected contacts resolved the problem for some users. You can also try this and see if it works.
