1. Restart the iPhone

To do this, hold down the power button and use the slider to turn it off. Wait a minute or two, then turn your iPhone back on.

2. Disable focus mode

As the name suggests, Focus Mode (formerly known as Do Not Disturb Mode) is a useful feature on iPhone that silences your iPhone and lets you focus on a specific activity. When enabled, it does not allow your iPhone to alert you of calls and notifications you receive. So you can make sure that you haven’t turned on Focus mode by accident.

4. Disable notification summary

With iOS 15, Apple made a lot of changes in the way you handle notifications on the iPhone. And the notification summary is one of those features. When enabled, it may prevent some apps from sending notifications immediately.

To turn off notification summary, open Settings on your iPhone and go to Notifications. Now go to Schedule Summary and turn it off.

5. Check the app notification settings

If the notification problem on your iPhone is limited to just one or two apps, you can try checking the notification preferences for the app in question. Here’s how.

Step 1: Launch the Settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down to locate the app for which notifications are not working.

6. Update the application

If an app can’t send notifications, you need to check for app updates. You may be using an older version of the app that is no longer compatible with your iPhone or has internal bugs. So go ahead and update the app to see if that helps resolve the notification issue.

7. Update iOS

If you haven’t updated your iPhone in a while, now is the time to do so. Sometimes apps that are not compatible with the iOS version you are on may not send notifications on iPhone. So, you can try to update your iPhone to the latest version available.

8. Reset your iPhone

If all else fails, you may want to consider resetting your iPhone. Consider this as the last resort as this will reset all of your iPhone’s settings preferences to their default values.
