How to find out who is using your Netflix account

Netflix won’t tell you exactly who is using your account by first or last name. Rather, it shows you device names and other data that can help you identify people using your account.

Step 1: Log into your account on a browser. Hover your mouse over the profile icon in the upper left corner and click Account.

2nd step: In the Settings section of the Account menu, select “Recent device streaming activity”.

On the resulting page, you’ll find a list of devices that have recently accessed your account along with their respective locations and time zones. Netflix also shows you the last time (data, time zone, and minutes) devices accessed your account.

If you find unrecognized devices from strange locations on the list, your account is likely compromised. You should immediately disconnect all devices. But before you do, here are some things you should know.

Does Netflix notify people that you’ve disconnected them

No, Netflix does not fly. Those affected will eventually find out that they no longer have access to your account, but Netflix does not notify or notify them before signing out.

Can you remove a single device from the Netflix account

At the moment, you can’t. It is an all or nothing action. The “Log out of all devices” feature does exactly what the names say. Netflix will disconnect all devices associated with your account, except the device you used to disconnect other devices.

How to sign out of your Netflix account from all devices

Now that you know the basics of remotely disconnecting your Netflix account from all devices, here’s how.

Step 1: Visit the Netflix website on a browser and enter your credentials to sign in to your account.

2nd step: Click on the profile icon (or click on it) and select Account from the options.

Step 3: Then scroll down to the Settings section and click on “Sign out from all devices”.

Step 4: Click the Logout button to continue.

What to do after you disconnect everyone from your account

Change your account password

You can change your Netflix account password from the account settings menu or by sending yourself a password recovery email / SMS. Follow the steps below to update your Netflix account password from the account settings menu.

Step 1: Log into your Netflix account on a browser, tap the profile icon and select Account.

2nd step: In the “Membership and billing” section, click Change password.

Step 3: You will need to provide your current account password and enter the new password (twice). Click Save to make the change.

You must set your new strong and secure password. You can also check the “Require all devices to reconnect with a new password” checkbox before clicking Save. This is another great way to remotely disconnect your Netflix account from other devices.

Do not share your account credentials

You shouldn’t be giving away your Netflix account details like candy. To prevent (or at best limit) unauthorized access to your account, only share your password with people you know and trust. Better yet, enter your account credentials yourself on their devices. It’s better than telling them or sending them your password – they can easily pass it on to other people.
