Previously, using multiple Facebook accounts on PC or Android and iOS was a problem. But things changed with the introduction of the switch account function on Facebook and Messenger. You must have noticed it on your mobile apps or via a desktop computer. If you’re wondering what Switch accounts mean in Facebook and Messenger, you’ve landed at the right destination.
Managing multiple Facebook accounts can be awkward if you’re not using the right options. Take the example of Instagram. It’s so easy to switch between multiple accounts on Instagram. Fortunately, the same can be done on Facebook and Messenger.
Let’s see how to add and change multiple accounts on Facebook and Messenger using the Switch Account feature.
Note: We have used the terms Account Switch and Account Switch interchangeably in the post.
What is Change Account on Facebook and Messenger
As the name suggests, you can switch between multiple Facebook or Messenger accounts using this feature. The main advantage is that you don’t have to repeatedly enter the username and password if you choose to remember passwords. It saves a lot of time when you want to use multiple Facebook accounts on the same device, like computer, Android phone or iPhone and iPad.
For example, if you have personal and work Facebook accounts, you can quickly switch between them with just one click. Likewise, if you share your computer with other family members, you can use the switch account feature. It is an efficient and fast way to disconnect and login to multiple Facebook or Messenger accounts. When you change accounts, you will only receive notifications for the account you are logged in to.
Availability of Switch account functionality
The switch account function is only available on the desktop version of facebook.com. The feature is not available on Facebook mobile apps. On the contrary, you find it on the mobile apps of Facebook Messenger and not on the desktop version of Messenger.
How many accounts can be added
You can add up to 10 Facebook accounts on the Facebook website. As for the Messenger mobile apps, you can store information for up to 5 accounts.

You will need to re-enter your login information. Hope this should fix the problem.
Merge professional and personal messages
Users who manage branded pages have always wanted to have messages from their pages on their Facebook Messenger.
