The Microsoft Your Phone app allows you to receive and make calls once it is connected to the computer. However, if you’re having issues that are preventing you from making or receiving calls, here are some troubleshooting tips that we suggest you fix to resolve issues with your phone app.

Cannot receive or make calls using Windows 10 app Your phone
If you are unable to receive or make calls using the Your Phone app, follow these tips one at a time and check if it has resolved the problem after completing the steps.
- Disable focus assistance
- Activate Bluetooth on your Android phone
- Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter
- Configure the call function again with your phone application
Make sure that you tried to restart the computer once and that you also relaunched the Your Phone app. They usually eliminate temporary problems.
1]Disable focus assistance
The tuning assistance ensures that you can work and not be spammed by notifications from anywhere. If you activated or scheduled the Debug Wizard on the computer, you will not receive any notifications. You have two options. You can choose to deactivate it or add your phone’s application to the exceptions list.
Switch off: Right-click the Action Center icon in the taskbar, select Debugging Aid, then Disabled.
To add the application to the exception:
- Right click on Focus Assist in the action center, click on Go to settings
- In the Focus Assist settings, go to Priority.
- Click on Personalize the priority list
- Under Applications, add your phone
Done, call your number and check if you receive notifications about the call.
2]Activate Bluetooth on your Android phone
The call function works via Bluetooth, if you have DND on or Bluetooth is disabled, you will receive a call notification from the computer. To check if Bluetooth is turned on, swipe down or swipe up (depending on the phone you’re using) to display the Android notification panel. Tap the Bluetooth icon to turn it off / on. Call your number and see if it works.
3]Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter on Windows 10
- Go to Settings> Update & Security> Troubleshooting
- Click Bluetooth, and then run the Bluetooth troubleshooter.
- Follow the instructions of the wizard,
- Check at the end if it solves the problem or offers a solution.
4]Configure the call function again with your phone application
If you still cannot make calls, it is best to repair your computer and the phone. A new connection usually resolves Bluetooth issues.

On your Android phone:
This may vary a little depending on the phone you are using. You need to find a setting in which all connected Bluetooth devices are listed. Generally available in Connection Preferences> Bluetooth. Find the list of paired devices and tap on it. Choose to forget.
On Windows 10 computer:
- Open Settings, then go to Devices> Bluetooth and other devices.
- Select your Android phone from the list and choose to delete the phone.
Open the Your phone app and reconfigure calls. When setting up the call function, be sure to click on the notifications to confirm.
