With the deployment of a new version of the Windows version, Microsoft has tried to improve the cursor visibility options in Windows 10. It has added a new accessibility option (text cursor indicator) to the Settings application. which allows users to change the color of the pointer on the system according to their preferences. This new feature adds a visible indicator to the text cursor, thereby improving its visibility and making it easier to spot. Here’s how to configure the option.
- Go to Settings.
- To select Access facility.
- Choose the Text cursor option.
- To start using the text cursor indicator, activate the text cursor indicator.
- Change the size of the text cursor indicator.
- Choose a text cursor indicator color.
- Adjust the thickness of the text cursor.

If you installed the latest version of Windows 10, click ‘Start»And select«Settings“
Then choose “Access facility“
Go to ‘Text cursor“Under the option”Access facility‘setting.
Switch to the flap on the right side.
Activate the option via toggle.
Adjust the size of the text cursor indicator by dragging the cursor to the desired level.
Select the color of your choice. It is desirable to choose a dark color so that the cursor indicator is clearly visible.
You can also choose a custom color. Hit the ‘Choose a custom color‘button. Select the desired shade and press ‘Completed“
Finally, adjust the thickness of the text cursor by dragging the cursor to the desired level.
When you’re done, you’ll notice that Windows 10 will use the indicator to highlight the cursor position on the screen; the indicator will be visible in many applications such as Microsoft Office Word, Notepad and other places such as File Explorer, text entry fields in the web browser.
It is important to mention here that the cursor may not be displayed in certain fields such as the address bar of Microsoft Edge or other browsers.
