Boomerang is basically a short video that plays continuously back and forth. This type of video effect was created thanks to the Instagram image sharing platform. So was its popularity that Instagram created a whole new app, just for this purpose. But if you have a Samsung Galaxy device, you won’t even need this app, let alone Instagram. Indeed, thanks to a workaround, you can easily create Boomerang using Samsung’s default gallery app. If you want to know how to do it, here are the steps to follow. Create a boomerang using the Samsung Gallery app
Not only is Boomerang, but you can also create a GIF using Samsung’s de facto gallery app. The steps are also quite simple. Keep in mind that this only works on Samsung Galaxy devices. Charging it laterally on other devices and trying it may not lead to a satisfactory result. That said, here are all the instructions you’ll need for this guide.
Steps to follow
- To create a boomerang, open one of the recorded videos using the Samsung default Gallery app.
- Then press Play video. As soon as the video plays, you will see a GIF icon at the top right. Tap it.
- If you just want a GIF, just tap Save, located again at the top right. However, to create a Boomerang, press 1.0x. That will change it 2.0x. It will be your new video playback speed.
- Using the slider, you can also cut the video to the desired length.
- When finished, press the Forward arrow twice. This should add a back-and-forth effect to this video.
That’s it. Just press save or Share and brag about your newly created Boomerang video using Samsung’s default gallery app. What do you think of this tip? Let us know your opinion in the comments section below.
