For ease of access to information, Android applications have their built-in browser. Thus, when using an application, when a user clicks on an external link, the content of this site opens in the integrated browser of the application.
However, these browsers are not always secure. Often, you should have noticed that when you open a link, it opens with another tab that will display a spam advertisement. Sometimes you see a spam ad telling you to install an anti-malware application.
However, the user can choose whether or not to use the browser built into the application. This also includes various social media apps. In this guide, we will explain how you can disable browsers integrated into Twitter and Facebook.
How to disable the browser built into Twitter and Facebook
Social media as we know is very vulnerable. While these are secure, we often hear about spam attacks, malware links affecting users.
You must have heard of hoaxes with the thumbnail of viral clickable bait on social networks. Naive internet users share the hoax link and click on the link. Then they end up welcoming malware onto their devices.
Social media is like an open playground. You can collect useful information. At the same time, you will also see hoaxes, clickable bait and worthless content. Not all internet users are smart enough to draw a fine line between good and bad content.
In addition, a large part of the population these days uses smartphones. They use social media like Facebook and Twitter more than any other application. As a result, it is possible that these users may encounter spam content redirecting to other harmful websites or programs. It is therefore preferable to use secure web interfaces like Chrome or similar portals.
In fact, when you disable the browsers built into Twitter and Facebook, your device gives you the option of opening an external link using the dedicated browser apps that you have installed on your device.
