- Insert the SD card into the SD slot of your PC
- Use the Windows Photos application to import photos
1) Insert the SD card into the SD slot of your PC.
Almost all modern laptops are equipped with a built-in SD memory card reader to the machine. You can access it by inserting the SD card into the card reader.
When you connect an SD card to your PC, it will recognize it as a portable hard disk, as shown in the screenshot above.
2) Use the Windows Photos application to import photos
Now, to import photos to your PC, you can open Windows 10 Photos App or any other application of your choice.
If you choose Windows 10 Photos App, the 'Import' option appears in the upper right corner of your computer screen. Press the button and, once the options presented, select 'From a USB device"
Instantly, the Photos application prompts you to select the items to import. Select photos by clicking on them and when finished, press'Selected import"
By default, the Photos application creates a separate folder containing the imported images and collects them in the folderPictures'Folder.
