Report Skype spam, block users, and delete bulk messages
Let us look at this in more detail. Incidentally, Anand Khanse who appears in the image, which I use as an example, is the administrator of TheWindowsClub.com and is by no means a spammer. 🙂
Block a Skype user
Blocking a user on Skype is very easy.
- Just locate the culprit, then right click on his name.
- Select the option that says Profile
- Click the Edit button, which looks like a pencil
- Finally, click Block contact.
You can also select Profile, then scroll down to see the same Block Contact button. You will now see a new window and from there, simply click on the blocking button below.
Report a Skype user
After clicking Block Contact, you should see the words, Report abuse of this person. Next to it is a toggle button, so be sure to click the button to enable all report options. Choose from the items available in the list, and then click Block.
Delete multiple messages at once in Skype
Many Skype users have no idea that it is possible to delete multiple messages at once. For a long time, they erased their messages one after the other and, as such, they are now looking for an easier solution.
In order to delete bulk messages, we recommend that you right-click on a single message and then select the option that says Select a messages. The user must now have the option to check all messages that he wishes to delete.
Select them all, then click the Delete button in the lower right corner of the Skype application. In addition, there are opportunities to copy or forward all selected messages.
Alternatively, the user can simply navigate to the Recent cats section via the left pane. Right-click the preferred chat, and select Delete conversations. Keep in mind that all conversations in the discussion will disappear, but only on your side.
The other party will always have access to these messages, which may or may not be a problem for you.
