Microsoft Sway is similar to PowerPoint which creates visually striking newsletters, presentations and documentation in minutes. What sets it apart from Office presentation software is its integration with your device, social media and the web. Here’s how to get started with Microsoft Sway.
Find and add content to Microsoft Sway
This article gives you a basic overview of finding and adding content to Microsoft Sway. Unlike PowerPoint, Sway does all the formatting, adds themes, fonts and more with its built-in design engine. So you don’t have to be an expert to use it. All you need to do is put your content in and sit back and let Sway take care of the rest. There is even a Remix! button that you can use to see automated looks at a glance. The process includes the following steps:
- Launch Microsoft Sway
- Select Insert from the menu bar
- Search for content from the desired service
- Add content
- Insert more content
The process is simple.
Insert the desired content
Start from a blank Sway. So, Sign into your account and press “Create a new‘button.
To find the content that interests you, go to ‘Menu‘Bar.
Select ‘Insert“
Based on your scenario, sway makes some recommendations. So go to ‘SuggestedWho appears and browse the content.
Alternatively, you can choose the specific content source you want to use. For example, there are options like,
- OneDrive
- Flickr
- Bing Images
- To pick up
- Youtube
Please note that the content visible to you is only available in a few selected languages.
Add content to Sway
When the content source is selected, enter a keyword or phrase in the search box, then press Enter to search for the desired content.
Then, in the search results that appear, click to select the desired item (s), then click ‘Add’.
If necessary, you can also drag and drop the selected element (s) onto your scenario.
You can search and insert additional content at any time by pressing the “Add‘Icon visible in the form of a + sign at the bottom of the map.
Then select text, an image, a video, or other types of content.
