Apple Music 2022 replay not accurate?
This issue was reported by Roman:
“22 replays have been released but they are no longer accurate. They don’t seem to be collecting HomePod data at all! Only songs played on my iPhone!
We noticed the same issue and saw similar reports on Apple’s chat forums:
“Does Apple intend to fix Apple Music Replay? The inaccuracy of this one has been a known issue since its launch.
and Reddit:
“Apple Music Replay is extremely inaccurate.”
2022 Apple Music Replay not working?
Less fortunate iPhone users cannot access their AM Replay at all. This The Reddit user informs:

Another similar complaint is available here:
“Apple Music Replay hasn’t worked for me for 3 years. It just acts like I don’t have any Replay playlists after 2019, even when I go to the website to try to get some get one.

Here is what you can do to fix this problem:
1. Use Listening History
This option must be enabled in Settings to allow Apple to create your Apple Music Replay:
- Open Settings and scroll to Apple Music.
- Scroll to Use listening history and make sure it’s enabled!
2. Use the web version
As of this writing, the redesigned Apple Music Replay 2022 only plays if accessed through the web version of Apple Music:
- Faucet this link and open it as a new window in Safari or any other web browser.
- Authenticate using Face ID or type your Apple ID password if prompted.
- Faucet Play your climax reel. Does it work.
3. Sign in to Apple ID again
Apple Music Replay not charging even after performing above workarounds? Try logging out of AM and logging back in:
- Open Settings on iPhone and press your Apple ID.
- Opt for Media and purchases.
- Select Sign out.
- Open Apple Music and reconnect.
How to Fix Apple Music Replay Not Accurate
1. Meet the requirements
According to Apple this Here’s how the Apple Music Replay algorithm works:
“Apple Music Replay also uses a variety of other factors to determine the music you’ve played this year, such as:
– Music played on any device connected to Apple Music with your Apple ID.
– Not including music played on devices that have “Use Listening History” disabled in Settings.
– Counting only the music available in the Apple Music catalog.
– Songs played in your library must be synced to your Apple Music subscription.
– A minimum of readings and time spent listening to a song, an artist or an album.
However, we noticed that even when all the requirements are met, the Apple Music Replay 2022 is still very inaccurate. One reason is that Apple Music doesn’t seem to track music played on the HomePod, despite the same Apple ID being used.
I listen to a radio station on my HomePod daily and it’s not even listed in the Top 3 stations listened to. It only seems to track stations that have been played on my iPhone, but even those don’t seem to map accurately.
2. Use third-party apps
There’s nothing else we can recommend at this time to make Apple Music Replays more accurate. However, a workaround is available using third-party apps:
- PlayTally (direct link) – Apple Music Stats, Playback History and Song Trends
- Marvis Pro (direct link) – analyze your music library with many powerful features in a minimalist yet highly customizable user interface.
