Enable the new Chrome AutoPlay interface
If you're a Chrome Canary or Dev user, the feature should have been enabled to date. However, if you prefer only to use the stable Chrome browser, there is a way to enable this new autodrip user interface. For this, you must use the experimental features of Chrome, namely the flags. Go to the address bar of your Chrome browser and type chrome: // flags. And activate the two flags below:
- In the search bar, enter # autofill-keyboard-accessories-view. By entering this into Chrome, you will activate the new user interface for automatic password entry.
- Then enter # enable-autofill-manual-fallback. This activates Chrome's new auto-input interface for card payments and addresses.
Make sure to restart Chrome once after enabling both indicators above. Once you've done this, refer to the section below to learn more about Chrome's new auto-input user interface. However, to enable password leak detection in Chrome 78 and force dark mode, refer to our guide on this topic.
Passwords, payment cards and address
When you tap the identification information field, you will no longer get suggestions for auto-fill inside the rectangular area. All of this will now be moved over your keyword in circles. Simply scroll to the left and select the desired identification information. This applies to all fields containing three passwords, credit / debit cards and addresses. In addition, if you enter a login that is not registered in your Google ID, you will also be prompted to enter a strong password.
To the right of the AutoFill section, you will now see three new icons. The first is the Show Passwords key. Next is the Show Payment Methods card and the last is the GPS Display Address icon. So that was the new Chrome auto-input interface. Apart from that, you can activate another flag and give your password section another redesign. Refer to the section below for more information.
Chrome's new user interface "Tap to enter passwords"
When activating the indicators for the new Chrome Auto Input user interface, you may have noticed a third indicator that we had not activated at that time. Well, if you activate what is said, that is to say # fill indicatorthen that's what will happen. By tapping on the user name field of any Web site, an overlay will now appear from the bottom of the screen, along with the required credentials. You can further develop this overlay by dragging it up. Note that although the Chrome flag to enable the new auto-entry user interface for passwords is visible in the stable version, it does not work for the moment. To see what it actually does, you will need to activate this flag in Canaries Chrome or dev version.
This was the new Chrome UI for the AutoFill section. While this does not change much, the new UI is definitely a welcome change and looks a lot better than the original one. What do you think? let us know your point of view in the comments section below. In addition, these flags have not yet been transferred to the desktop version of Chrome. Once that is done, you will be the first to know. Until then, stay with us.
