Responding positively to this, Microsoft has further extended its capabilities to digital assistant on Xbox One with Xbox Action for Google Assistant. How to set up Google Assistant on Xbox One
Xbox One users can now interact with their game console in many other ways using only your voice. To set up Google Assistant on Xbox One:
- Set your power mode to instant on
- Activate digital assistants
- Pair your Xbox with your Google Assistant
The Xbox for Google Assistant action lets you control your Xbox One from any Google Assistant or Google Home compatible device.
1]Set your power mode to instant on
Press the “Xbox” button to open the guide.
Then go to ‘System“, Choose”settings‘>’General’ > “Power mode and start ».
Click on the drop-down menu button and choose “Instantaneous“.
2]Activate digital assistants
Go to System > settings > Devices and streaming > Digital assistants.
Here, select “Activate digital assistants“. Press the “A” button on your controller to activate the digital assistant.
Later, connect to your Xbox.
3]Pair your Xbox with your Google Assistant
When you control your Xbox with Google Assistant, you need to use the name of the device that you added during setup. For example, if you named your console “Xbox”, just use commands like “Hey Google, turn on Xbox”, “Hey Google, turn off Xbox”, “Hey Google, play Gear 5 on Xbox” and others.
Otherwise, you can replace the device name that you provided during configuration and then use it. When triggering an action, just use the device name you defined in your orders and you’re ready to go.
