How to add a caption to a PowerPoint slide
A legend can be of any form, specially designed to attract attention. In simpler terms, captions refer to speech bubbles for conversations. These are mainly seen in comics to express stories or other ideas through pictures and usually combined with text. To create a PowerPoint presentation with captions,
- Insert shape
- Choose the format of the shape
- Add color and text to the legend
You can insert animated, clickable captions into Office PowerPoint presentation slides. The short text string (caption) is always displayed using a larger font.

Launch the Office PowerPoint application, go to ‘InsertThe “tab.
Under ‘Drawing“Search section”Shapes“
Once found, click on the drop-down arrow and select the “Legends” option, visible at the bottom.

Then click in the desired space of your presentation where you want to add a legend and drag your cursor to draw the legend on the slide. Make sure that the legend refers to the corresponding object. If not, click and drag the control handle to the correct position.

Now you may not like the color of the legend you have chosen. So to change it and apply a different color, visible under “Shape styles‘section of’Shape format“
Then, from the drop-down menu that appears, choose a color. After selecting a color, you will notice that the color of the legend changes automatically.
