the Insert a key can often irritate your keyboard. If you press it by mistake during its operation, it goes into Overtype mode and you can get irritated. You can type something and the text under your cursor will be overwritten. In a large and important project, this can cause random problems. But there is good news to get rid of this problem. You have the option to deactivate the insertion key.
Disable the insertion key in Windows 10
To deactivate the insertion key in Windows 10, follow this step-by-step procedure.
Open the Registry Editor and access the following key:
ComputerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlKeyboard Layout
When you locate the Keyboard folder, right click on it and click New > Binary value option.
When you click on the Binary value, a field will appear on the left side of the screen.
Rename the newly inserted value as desired, it can be anything but name it something you will remember.
Then double-click it and the following dialog will appear on your screen.
Now type the following value in the Value data text zone.
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 00 00 52 E0 00 00 00 00
After entering the value, click on the Okay as shown in the image above.
Close the Registry Editor the screen and restart the PC to make this change.
