Is Fitness + not showing up on your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or Apple Watch? Apple’s new workout service has been live for almost a day now, but you can’t see the Fitness + tab in the Fitness app on your Apple devices? You’re not the only one. Here’s what you can do to fix it.
6 Ways To Fix Apple Fitness + Not Showing Up
1. Update your device
Fitness + will not appear if you do not upgrade to iOS 14.3, iPadOS 14.3, watchOS 7.2, or tvOS 14.3. The new software version is available live on all compatible devices in Settings -> General -> Software Update.
To fix: If you are using iOS 14.3 RC 2 or iPadOS 14.3 RC 2, you will not need to update to the public version of iOS 14.3. However, you must restart your iPhone or iPad for the Fitness + tab to display in the Fitness app.
2. Check the requirements
Make sure Apple Fitness + is supported by your device:
- iPhone 6s or later
- iPad Air 2 or later
- Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K
- Apple Watch Series 3 or later
3. Download the Fitness app
The Fitness app is not preinstalled in iPadOS 14.3. You need to manually download it to your iPad before you can access Apple Fitness +.
Made: In the first hours after release, an issue in the App Store was preventing users from downloading the Fitness app on iPad. It has been corrected in the meantime. However, some users still cannot find the Aptitude app when searching the App Store.

4. Use Apple Watch
An Apple Watch is not required to play Apple Fitness + workouts on iPhone and iPad. However, doing it without the gadget worn on the wrist will result in completed workouts without activity measurements.

5. Use the same Apple ID
Some readers have reported that they’ve subscribed to Apple Fitness + but don’t see an active subscription when they try to sign in from another device. This happens when different Apple IDs are used on the devices. Please use the same iCloud account on the devices you plan to use with Fitness +.
6. Geographical restrictions
Unfortunately, Apple Fitness + is not available worldwide. Apple only unlocked it for users located in the United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Ireland, Canada and Australia.
In this case, the Fitness + tab will not appear in the Fitness app no matter what you do.
Why is Apple Fitness + restricted by country?
Many users are intrigued that Fitness + is limited in terms of location. Here are some of the main reasons:
- A review of all the available Fitness + countries highlights the fact that they are all English speaking nations.
Apple rushed the release of Fitness + by the end of 2020, to complete the Apple One service bundle just before the holidays.
It seems that there was not enough time to translate the workouts into other languages. Apparently, fitness exercises presented in a foreign language can be considered dangerous because they can lead to injury and health risks if the user does not fully understand what to do. Ultimately, this can lead to lawsuits that any business wishes to avoid. - Second, we are talking about a new product and Apple might try to test it first on a smaller package before releasing it worldwide.
