How to Fix Live Text Not Working
If you have a compatible iPhone, updated it to the public version of iOS 15, and you don’t see Live Text, perform the following troubleshooting options:
1. Change the language of the iPhone
In fact, there is one more limitation that you must pass. According to Apple, Live Text is currently only supported in English, Chinese, French, Italian, German, Portuguese and Spanish!
If your iPhone is not configured for one of the above languages, you need to change the settings to get the live text:
How? ‘Or’ What: To research Settings -> General -> Language and region -> iPhone language and select one of the supported dialects from the list!
2. Enable live text for photos
Then you need to make sure the feature is turned on. Because you are already in the Language and region settings, you will find the Live Text option at the bottom of the screen.
Activate it! This will allow you to select text in images to copy or perform quick actions.!
3. Enable live text for camera
You should also enable this feature for content displayed in real time by the Camera app:
How? ‘Or’ What: Open Settings and press Camera. Enable live text!
4. Relaunch the Camera app
If you have reached this step and the issue is still not resolved, your iPhone may have a temporary problem. I recommend that you force close the Camera app from the App Switcher. Relaunch it and see if the LiveText icon has become available!
5. Restart the iPhone
The next step is to restart your iOS 15 device. A fresh start will eliminate minor issues and the “three lines framed by the viewfinder” icon might start appearing in the lower right corner of the screen.
How? ‘Or’ What: You can just turn the iPhone off and on again or use the force restart trick available here!
