Gmail has a feature that lets you recall a sent email. I needed this feature many times, but didn’t know it existed.
Reminder is now enabled by default for all Gmail users. You can change the setting by doing the following:
- Sign in to Gmail.
- Select the gear located towards the top right corner of the screen and select Settings > See all settings.
- Select the “Generaltab “.
- In the “Cancel send” section,
- Put it on “Send cancellation period” for the desired number of seconds.
- Now a to cancel will appear in the lower left of the screen after sending an e-mail message. After the time you set has passed, the option will disappear and you will not be able to recall the message.
FAQs
I want to recall an e-mail and I have not activated this option. What can I do?
I’m afraid the message has been sent and there is nothing you can do to retrieve it.
