STEP 1: Activate secret conversations
- When you launch the Messenger app, tap the edit icon at the top right.
- Then activate the lock toggle and select the user with whom you want to have a secret conversation.
- Or you can go directly to the user’s profile, tap the name and select Select conversation.

STEP 2: Check the encryption
Before continuing secret conversations, it is also important to check the encryption. You can compare your keys on both devices or the sender’s keys. Take the first route.
