Send yourself a WhatsApp message on iPhone

Did you know that you can send each other WhatsApp messages on iPhone and Android? Meta recently rolled out this feature for all iOS and Android users, allowing you to use the instant messaging platform as a to-do list or notes app!

How to send you a WhatsApp message on iPhone

First, make sure you are using WhatsApp version 22.24.81 or later. (App Store direct link).

Then proceed as follows:

  • 1. Open Whatsapp on iPhone and make sure you are viewing the Cats tongue.
  • 2. Tap the New conversation icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
  • 3. Use the Search field and seek yourself. (Use the name that your information is saved as a contact on the iPhone, or you can search by typing your own phone number).

  • 4. A new chat with yourself window opens. To write the information you want to save for later and press send.

  • 2. Swipe right on the wire to reveal additional options.
  • 3. Tap Pin!

    Point: When you have saved important information that you don’t want to forget, such as a to-do list or a quick reminder, you can use the Unread option in the same menu to make the chat stand out even more!

How to Forward a WhatsApp Message to Yourself

You can also forward important information to yourself from other conversations and save it for later:

  • 1. Long press on a message bubbleto reveal quick actions.
  • 2. Select Transfer and tick the parts of the conversation you want to transfer.
  • 3. Press forward arrowin the lower left corner of the screen.
  • 4. Select yourself from Recent Chats Where Frequently contacted list or use Look for.
  • 5. Tap Transfer!
