How to Stop iPhone From Turning Off, Sleeping, or Locking Automatically
Of course, it is simply a matter of pressing a button to reactivate the screen to re-center it. But why should you do it so often, when you solve this problem forever. Let's see how we can prevent the iPhone from automatically turning off, sleeping or locking.
Let's start.
1. Lift up to wake up your phone
You don't need to press a button to turn on the screen in the first place. The iPhone comes with the Raise to Wake feature, which uses a motion sensor to detect motion. The functionality was first introduced with the release of iOS 10. When you take your phone off your desk or take it out of your pocket or lift it up, the screen will turn on automatically .
Open Settings and tap Display & brightness.
Activate the Raise to Wake option and you're done. That’s it. Check whether it works for you or not. This can sometimes be successful, but for the most part it works, and when it doesn't, press a button.
4. Prevent iPhone from locking automatically
Automatic locking is particularly useful when using AirPlay. You don't want your iPhone to turn off and lock in the middle of a streaming session. The same goes when you stop to think of something when you notice that the screen is off.
Open Settings and tap Display & brightness and select Auto lock.
You can now set a delay, after which the screen will automatically turn off. If you use the automatic brightness settings, the screen will first darken a bit before the iPhone locks. You can choose a value between 30 seconds and 5 minutes. Again, like the brightness settings, this will help improve the battery life based on the time you choose.
It acts as a visual signal, so you know that you have to tap the screen once to prevent automatic locking. Press Never here to completely deactivate the automatic locking function. The number of minutes you choose here will depend on how you use your iPhone and for what purpose. Or, how long you can watch your screen thinking without doing anything.

It is good to occasionally turn off the screen of your iPhone. Be in the moment, write down the people and things around you, and engage in more offline conversations than online. Each model of iPhone and iPad comes with these settings. Adjust them as you wish.
Then: Use Screen Time to control the time you spend on iPhone daily. See the article below for how to change app categories to better manage apps.
