Instagram Reels

Instagram has finally extended the availability of Instagram coils to more global markets, including India. What is Instagram Reels you can ask for? Well, Instagram Reels is Facebook’s answer to TikTok, a short video app. Now that we have access to Reels, let’s discuss everything you need to know about Instagram’s foray into short video space.

In this article, we will guide you on how to get started with Instagram Reels, in addition to discovering Reels content and creating Reels to share with your subscribers.

What is Instagram coils

Are you an Instagram influencer? If your answer is yes, Instagram Reels is just for you.

Three short, crisp and entertaining words explain Reels. If you enjoy watching short, crisp, and entertaining videos of your favorite “social media celebrity,” then Reels is the place for you. In addition to watching, you can also create your own videos, add effects, filters, music from a huge library of songs on Instagram, among others. That’s what Reels is for.

If I still have to describe Instagram Reels in one sentence, Instagram Reels is to TikTok what Instagram Stories is to Snapchat.

Instagram Reels is also the attempt by Facebook and Instagram to challenge TikTok’s legacy and dominance in the short video space. Facebook continues to feel threatened by how TikTok has become one of the most popular non-gaming apps in the world in such a short time. For whatever reason, Reels exists, let’s see how you can get started.

How to Discover and Watch Instagram Coils

Lots of people are struggling to find ways to watch Instagram Reels in the first place. This article will help you discover Reels, in addition to several ways to interact with it. Getting started with Reels is pretty simple.

Make sure your Instagram app is up to date. Android and iOS users can access Google Play and the App Store, respectively. Check if your Instagram app has received an update. Even if you haven’t received an update, you should still see Reels. Keeping the app up to date is good practice to start with.

Now that you’re ready, head over to Instagram. There are several ways to find coils. First, the Explore tab. You can access the Explore tab by pressing the “Search” option at the bottom of your Instagram app. Remember that you have nothing to search for. Just tap the magnifying glass icon at the bottom.

The first video you see in the Explore tab is Reels. You will also find a small watermark for ‘Reels’ in the lower left corner of the video. This is how you know you are watching Reels. Once you tap the video, you will be immersed in a whole new world of Instagram Reels. All you have to do is swipe up to view more reels.

Another way to find out about Reels is via a profile page. In addition to the posts, IGTV videos and Instagram posts in which you are tagged, Instagram has added a dedicated “Reels” tab on the profiles. You can access the profile of your favorite creators and press the new “Rolls” tab to discover their rolls.
Unlike stories, Reels will not disappear after 24 hours of their creation and they have a permanent place in your Reels tab, unless you specifically choose to delete them.

How to create with Instagram Reels

Are you looking to post on Instagram Reels? Believe me, it’s a fairly simple process. All you need to do is tap the camera icon. Then find out and select Reels at the bottom. You will come across a page that says “Create with spools.” Record and edit short videos and share them on Explore, where everyone can discover them. It sounds pretty simple, doesn’t it?

Now press the “Start” option at the bottom. But before you start, remember that anyone can create reels using your original audio if your account is public. Therefore, be sure of what you are getting into. If you’re concerned about privacy, make sure the Instagram profile is set to “Private” in the settings.

Once you’ve pressed “Start”, you’ll be taken directly to Instagram’s camera viewfinder. There you can switch between the front camera and the rear camera, depending on what you want to record in your short video. On the left side, you will find different options for editing your video. First, press the record button at the bottom. Once you’ve finished recording a video, you can still edit it as you want.

Instagram Reels Timer

On the left side, you can add music to your videos, select the speed, set the timer up to 5 seconds, among others. You can also add multiple effects and filters to your videos before publishing them as reels.

Once you’ve created a reel, the next task is to share it with your subscribers. Similar to IGTV posts and videos, you can add caption and hashtags to Instagram Reels. You can also check this option if you want to share your coil to be powered. Interestingly enough, Instagram also offers creators an option to define a personalized sticker cover for their reel.

Share Instagram Reels

You can publish your rolls on other applications. Likewise, you can also copy a link to your reel or share it with your friends via DM. You can archive and modify your reels and activate / deactivate comments for each reel.

Ways to interact with Instagram Reels

There are many ways to interact with Instagram Reels. You can click “Like” and leave a comment on Reels. You can share your favorite reels with your friends via DM. In addition, you can also post Reels on your Instagram story. Apart from that, you can always hide and flag the reels you don’t like. Similar to posts and videos, Reels generates a public URL. At the bottom of Reels you will find some details such as the songs or audios they use, in addition to the number of likes and comments. Instagram uses artificial intelligence (AI) to better understand your interests. The more you interact with Reels in likes and comments, the better it is for recommending videos you may want to watch.

What if I don’t see the Instagram reels?

There are several reasons why you may not be able to find Reels in your Instagram. First of all, Instagram Reels is currently not available for everyone.

At the time of writing, Instagram Reels is limited to certain regions, including India, Brazil, France and Germany. If you are in a region where Instagram has not yet launched Reels, you will not be able to access Reels.
