Xposed Framework was very popular within the Android modding community. I was so much in love with this product that I no longer wanted custom ROMs. However, since Android Nougat and the introduction of SafetyNet, things have changed a lot. The development of Xposed was very successful and Magisk replaced SuperSU and Xposed. A few years later, Magisk can also help you install the Xposed framework on Android Pie via the EdXposed module for Magisk. It's the best of both worlds.
To be clear, Xposed Framework has been available as a Magisk module for some time, even since Android Oreo. However, there were problems such as Xposed breaking the SafetyNet or causing startup loops, etc. Do not break the SafetyNet is more important for some people than Xposed Framework.
As a result, Xposed was almost dead for new devices and Android versions. But developer solohsuThe unofficial port of Xposed called EdXposed has introduced the Xposed framework on all new devices running Android Pie. EdXposed is based on the Riru platform by developer RikkaW. Therefore, to install EdXposed, you will also need the Riru Magisk main module.

Install Xposed Framework via EdXposed Manager
Just as Xposed Framework was managed by the Xposed Installer, and Magisk Framework is managed by the Magisk Manager application, EdXposed is managed by the EdXposed Manager application. This is the application that you can use to install and uninstall Xposed modules, search for them and manage other aspects of the framework. Just download the APK file from the link below. When the download is complete, tap the notification and select INSTALL.

Have fun installing your favorite Xposed modules
You can now launch the EdXposed Manager application and you will notice that it looks a lot like the Xposed Installer application. It will show you the version of Xposed Framework installed as well as its status. You can access your installed modules from the modules section in the side menu drawer. Similarly, you can find new modules to download from the Downloads section.
You can also run SafetyNet to check the Magisk Manager application to verify that the SafetyNet is still intact. Do not forget that Xposed Framework has been around for a long time, but not Android Pie. As a result, many modules are obsolete and have not been updated to work with Pie. It is therefore crucial to sort the list of modules in the list Downloads section by update date instead of any other sort order.
Generally, the installation of modules updated recently or by the end of 2018 or later should work with Android Pie. Also, do not try to install modules that target a specific device. For example, when some modules indicate that it is a OnePlus 3 / 3T, do not try to install it on a pixel. At best, it just will not work, but at worst, you may end up in a start-up loop.
To sort the modules by update date, tap the sort icon at the top right of the window. Downloads page and select Sort by the last update.
