When you touch the touch screen of your device, you get visual feedback that tells you that your touch has been recognized. You can deactivate this tactile feedback or make it darker and larger, if you wish, by following the steps described in this post.
Make visual feedback for darker and larger contact points
To turn off touch feedback or make it darker and larger on your Windows 10 touchscreen device, follow these steps:
- Right click on Start to open the WinX menu
- Open settings
- Go to Ease of Access> Vision> Cursor and Pointer
- To deactivate the tactile feedback, switch the tactile feedback change to the Off position
- To make the tactile feedback darker and larger, make sure that the toggle is activated and select the option Make the visual feedback for the tactile points darker and larger.
Now check and see if you have it running.
This short clip illustrates the disabled, normal, and darker options.
You can also make changes using the registry:
Open the Registry Editor and navigate to the following key:
KEY_CURRENT_USER Control Panel Cursors
Look for it ContactVisualisation DWORD and set its value as follows:
- 0 – Disable visual feedback.
- 1 – Activate the visual feedback.
- 2 – Make the tactile visual feedback darker and larger.
If you don't see ContactVisualisation DWORD value, create it.
Good luck!
