Did you know you can create a Stage Manager shortcut in macOS Ventura? It makes multitasking even easier on Mac and lets you quickly turn this new macOS 13 feature on and off!

How to Create a Stage Manager Shortcut on Mac

  • 1. Open System Parametersof Dock Where Projector.
  • 2. Scroll down the left sidebar, to Keyboards and click Keyboard shortcuts.
  • 3. Select mission control in the left sidebar.
  • 4. Double-click ‘nothing’ available next to Enable/disable Stage Manager setting.
  • 5. Type the keys you want to use as a Stage Manager shortcut!
  • Point: To create a combo Press and hold the ‘option’ Where ‘ordered’ key and press a second key that you want to use with this shortcut!

    Be sure to create a unique combo that isn’t already being used by another feature!

Other macOS Stage Manager Shortcuts

Besides the On/Off keyboard shortcut, you can also use the classic command + tab combo box that switches between the current app and the previously used app in Stage Manager.

You can also make this multitasking feature more accessible by displaying it in the macOS Ventura menu bar:
Opt for System Settings -> Control Center -> Stage Manager and select Show in menu bar.

Do: The Stage Manager icon in the status bar represents three vertical dots along a rectangle, as shown in the adjacent image.

Point: Stage Manager is also available in the macOS Ventura Control Center. Click on the two overlay pills available next to the Siri icon and you’ll notice the Stage Manager toggle, under Focus and next to Screen Mirroring!
