Top 5 Ways to Fix Facebook Page Owned by Another Business Issue on Instagram
Anyone getting this error may be surprised if they are the actual owner of the page. Instagram tells them that their page belongs to someone else. But this is not the case. You will find out why this is happening in the post below.
So let's see how to fix the Facebook page (FB) belonging to another business problem on Instagram.
1. Add a user in Facebook professional settings
Facebook Business is complicated. If another administrator has already posted an ad on Facebook or Instagram, Facebook will link the page to them. This could be the reason why the Facebook page doesn't show up on Instagram when you try to link the two.
To correct it, follow these steps:
Step 1: Ask other administrators of your page to open business.facebook.com on a computer.
2nd step: Facebook pages linked to their account will be displayed. Click on the problematic Facebook page.
Stage 3: Click on Professional settings present at the top.
Step 4: Under Users, click People. Then click the Add button next to People.
Step 5: Tell others to enter your email address or the email address of the person trying to link from Instagram. Activate the toggle next to administrator access.
Note: The email id must be the same as the one linked to Facebook.
Step 6: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. Then open the email added in step 5 to accept the invitation. Once the administrator is added, open the Instagram app and sign out of the account. Log in again and try to link the Facebook page, as shown in Method 3 below.
2. Check the roles of Facebook pages
Only an administrator can link the Facebook page to their Instagram account. Therefore, you need to check the page roles to check whether you have the necessary administrator rights or not. To do this, open the Facebook page in the Facebook mobile app and access its settings. Tap Page Roles. You will see the user names with their roles listed below.
Note: In case you are not the administrator, you might see the error "no manageable page found".
On the web, open the Facebook page and click Settings at the top. Click on Page Roles on the left side. All existing page roles will be listed.
3. Connect the Facebook page again
Sometimes we follow the wrong method, or there is a problem when linking the Facebook page to Instagram. To correct it, you must follow the right steps to add a Facebook page. Here's how.
Step 1: Open the Instagram app and go to the profile screen. Tap the three bar icon at the top.
2nd step: Select Settings.
Stage 3: Tap Account, then tap Linked Accounts.
Step 4: Tap Facebook. Enter your Facebook login information if requested.
Step 5: Once successfully added, press Facebook again (it will be blue). Select the Facebook page from the list.
