This guide explains in detail the steps to unlock the Realme C2 bootloader and possibly display a TWRP recovery image. Then you will discover the steps to follow to root your Realme c2. Download the TWRP image file below and rootz your phone using the Magisk v19.3 zip file.

requirements
Before you can root Realme C2, make sure that you meet the following requirements.
- A Realme C2.
- You will need a Windows, Mac or Linux computer with the tools of the Android SDK platform.
- Download Android SDK platform tools for Windows, Mac, and Linux
- Extract the downloaded zip file anywhere on your PC.
- The extracted platform-tools folder contains all the necessary tools to run ADB and Fastboot.
- Since you need to connect your phone to your PC with a USB cable, make sure the cable is not loose.
- Activate USB debugging and OEM open on your device, found in Developer options.
- Go to settings > About phone.
- Press on Construction number 7 times.
- You will see a message of toast saying, “You are a developer”.
- Go back to Settings now, and you’ll find a new option called “Developer Options”, select it.
- Scroll through the list and discover OEM unlocking and USB debugging and enable it. OEM unlocking should already be enabled or dimmed if you have unlocked your boot loader.
- Make sure that there is at least 50% battery left in your Realme C2 to avoid any accidental shutdown.
- Windows users will also need to install Realme USB drivers.
Unlock the Realme C2 bootloader
Before you can root Realme C2, you have to unlock it. Follow the steps below to do this.
Warning: Back up all your data and applications before unlocking the boot loader, as they will be erased during the process.
1. Connect it to your PC via a USB cable and make sure the connection is not lost.
2. Tap the USB notification in the notification drawer and select File transfer.
3. Go now to a platform-tools folder on your PC.
4. On Windows, type cmd in the address bar and press Enter to open a command prompt window in the folder. On Mac and Linux, you can simply right-click on the folder and select Open in the terminal to launch a terminal window and start using ADB.
5. Let’s see now if your device is properly connected to your PC. To do this, type the command below and press Enter.
adb peripherals
If your device is connected, you will see the serial number of your phone and if it does not, you should check if you have installed all the required drivers.
Restart your phone in Quick Start mode by entering the command below.
adb reboot bootloader
Type the command below to unlock your boot loader if your device is detected. Do not forget that it will erase everything on your phone. fastboot
flashing unlock
Confirm the action on your phone with the help of volume buttons.
Your phone will reset and restart.
Install TWRP Recovery on Realme C2
Now that you have unlocked the bootloader, you must flash the TWRP image in order to root Realme C2 with the help of Magisk.
Download TWRP for RealmeC2: TWRP-3.3.1-1-RMX1851.img
- Go to settings and allow USB debugging again. You already know how to do that now.
- Restart the boot loader again with the same command as before.
adb reboot bootloader
- Then, flash the recovery image twrp on the Realme C2 by entering the following command.
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.3.1-1-RMX1851.img
- Once the recovery is flashed, you can restart your device with this command.
fastboot reboot
Note: If you want to continue rooting your device, skip step 8. Simply press the volume button to select To restart recovery and press the power button to reboot in order to boot directly into recovery mode. Since you are already recovering, skip steps 1 to 3 mentioned below.
Steps to create Realme C2
Download the root package: Magisk v19.3
- When your device is turned on, connect it to your PC.
- Launch a command prompt or terminal window in the platform-tools folder.
- On Windows, go to platform tools folder and enter cmd in the address bar.
- On Mac and Linux, you can simply right-click on the folder and select Open in the terminal to launch a terminal window and start using ADB.
- Use the command below to restart your device in recovery mode.
adb reboot recovery
- Once the TWRP recovery is complete, you can flash Magisk and root your device. But it is wise to start with a full NANDroid backup of your device, just in case you want to restore your device.
- To do this, go to safeguard and select all partitions. Swipe down to start the backup process.
- To root Realme C2, select Install in the TWRP main menu.
- Browse to the downloaded Magisk file, select it and select it.
- Swipe down to flash the zip.
- Press the To restart system button and your device will restart.
Now you have a rooted R2 Realme with an unlocked boot loader and a TWRP recovery installed on it.
