Have you been annoyed with the slow Internet connection while you are surfing the Internet or watching video on YouTube? The following tutorial is the method to speed up Internet speed but it is only recommended for computer users at home, not for large enterprises.

For Windows Vista users:

1. Navigate to Start menu and then choose Control Panel;

2. Choose “View network status and tasks” option under “Network and Internet”

3. Select “view status” in the middle

4. Select Properties

5. Uncheck “QoS Packet Scheduler ” and then choose OK

6. Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete key and then choose “Start Task Manager”

7. In the Windows Task Manager, choose “Applications” tab-

8. Select “New Task…”

9. In the pop-up window, type: gpedit.msc and then select OK

10. In the Local Group Policy Editor window, click “Computer Configuration”

11. In the right side window, double click “Administrative Templates” to open this folder

12. Double click “Network”

13. Double click Qos Packet Scheduler

14. Double click “Limit reservable packets”

15. In the pop-up window, choose “Enabled” option. Besides, set “Bandwidth limit” to 0.

16. Choose Ok.

For Windows XP users:

1. Right-click on “Network Places” or “My Network Places” on your desktop

2. Choose “properties”

You should now be on a screen with something titled “Local Area Connection”, or something close to that, and, if you have a network hooked up, all of your other networks.

3. Right-click on “Local Area Connection” and select “properties”

4. Uncheck QoS Packet Scheduler.

5. Select Ok.

6. Using the key combination Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Windows Task Manager.

7. Choose New Task tab and type gpedit.msc in the Open box and then select Ok.

8. In the pop-up window, select Computer Configuration in the left pane.

9. In the right pane, double click Administrative Templates.

10. Go to Network folder.

11. Select QoS Packet Scheduler.

12. Check Limit reservable bandwidth.

13. In the Setting tab, check Enable and change the Bandwidth limit to Zero.
