How to Preview Outgoing Voice Notes on WhatsApp
Instant messaging has become an important part of our lives as we use it to communicate with our friends, family, clients, and colleagues. One instant messaging platform that has grown in popularity over the past decade is WhatsApp. It owes this rise to its many features, such as voice notes.
When WhatsApp launched Voice Notes, users could only record voice clips. However, WhatsApp released a feature that allowed users to listen to voice notes at an increased speed over the years. Now, WhatsApp allows users to preview voice notes before sending them in its latest update. This feature eliminates the fear of sending awkward messages or having to re-record a voice note. Here’s how it works on various devices.
Overview of WhatsApp Voice Notes on iPhone
WhatsApp’s Voice Notes preview feature was launched on iPhone devices before releasing on all platforms in December 2021. Here’s how to access the feature on iPhone:
Step 1: Launch WhatsApp from your iPhone home screen.
2nd step: Open an individual chat or a group chat in the app.
Step 3: Press and hold the microphone icon next to the chat box, then drag it up to enable and lock the hands-free recording feature.
Step 4: Start speaking to record a new voice note.
Step 5: Press the Stop button once you are done recording.
Step 6: Tap the play icon. This triangle-shaped icon appears after you press the Stop button.
Now you should be able to hear the recording the same way the intended recipient will hear it. Note that you can jump to different parts of the message by tapping where you want to listen. You can delete the message after previewing the voice note content or tap send.
