Set Custom Notification Sounds in Facebook Messenger

5. Make sure to tap on the name of the option. Typing the checkbox does not allow you to configure notifications, it will only enable / disable the feature.
6. Let's say you have to change Cats and calls notifications. Press and under Category of notifications page, press Advanced. In this section, you will be able to configure custom notification sounds for the Messenger application.
7. By default, the Sound section includes the Its provided by the application. To change it, tap on the Sound section and select the application of your choice (file manager or ringtones application) from the menu.
8. Or you can also select the default Media storage option, scroll down and press Add a ringtone. Access the desired sound and set it as the custom notification sound for the Messenger application.
