During the migration from Exchange to Office 365 or vice versa, you can choose to import your own emails, contacts, and other mailbox information. However, by deactivating the licenses of one of the services, you may encounter invisible problems. For example, you may see a yellow warning bar appear on an Office application, with the following message –
Account Notice – We have encountered a problem with your Office 365 subscription and need your help to resolve it.
Account notification message in your Office 365 subscription
First, the warning message is triggered by a problem with your Office 365 subscription payment. For example, if your payment was declined due to an expired or canceled credit card, your subscription will be suspended. . As such, make sure that:
- Payment information is up to date
- Office 365 subscription is active
- Run the Microsoft Support and Recovery Wizard
- Disable, uninstall, and reinstall Office
Let’s see how to do it right to avoid hiccups halfway during the migration process.
1]Check if the payment information is up to date
If you have opened an Office application, close it.
Access your payment options page.
Sign in and enter the Microsoft account email address and password associated with your Office 365 subscription.
If your payment method shows an error, update it.
After updating your payment information, try restarting an Office application like Microsoft Word or PowerPoint. If you still see the error, use the following method.
2]Check if your Office 365 subscription for home, personal or university is active
Open your services and subscription page.
And review the details under “Office 365 ‘ title.
If you find that your subscription has expired, please renew it. You can do it by 2 methods,
- Renew online at office.com/renew – it offers the possibility of renewing your Office 365 Home or Office 365 Personal subscription in person or online. You do not need to visit a store.
- Renew using a product key that you purchased at a store – This is a 25 character product key that you can use to renew at office.com/setup. Please note that your Microsoft account can only have one active Office 365 subscription. If you enter multiple product keys at office.com/setup, you are extending the duration of this Microsoft account, without increasing the number of Office installations or the amount of online storage you get.
After renewing your subscription, try restarting Word. Your problem must be solved. Otherwise, go to another method.
3]Run the Microsoft Support and Recovery Wizard
To use this Microsoft support and recovery tool, you must have an active Internet connection. Once activated, it can help you identify and resolve activation issues with Office 365.
4]Disable, uninstall, and reinstall Office
If all of the above methods are not producing the desired results, you can try disabling or uninstalling and reinstalling Office to resolve the issue. In the process, if you have a problem with Office activation, check out our Office activation troubleshooting guide.
We hope something here will help you.
