The application already has a fairly extensive video editing feature. And now, with the addition of a trimming document extension, it seems that the use of a third-party application for editing purposes may belong to the past. That said, let's look at it now. But before that, make sure you run Google Photos v-4.26 to use the crop function.
Google Photos Cropping Document Feature
In the new version of Photos, if you view an image in the Photos application, then press the button Edit button (next to the Share icon). Then you will see a blue bubble above the Harvest document extension indicating the presence of this newly added feature. Tap on it. Two sections will be visible. The one will be the EXTENSIONS while the other would be EDIT IN. The old one is the Google Photos cropped document extension. While the latter contains a list of installed third-party photo editors. As you may have guessed, the old one interests us. Press on Harvest document under the EXTENSIONS section.
Once you've turned on Google Photos Cropping, you can drag all four points in the four corners to adjust the cropping dimensions. In addition, a zoom feature has been added for easy access. When you drag the borders, you can see them enlarged inside the circle. This certainly helps to handle every detail of an image.
The application has also integrated a car fashion. As its name indicates, it automatically identifies the corner of the images and reframes it accordingly (see screen capture below). This feature does not always give the desired result and seems to require further tweaking. Once you have completed all these changes, be sure to click the Done button to save the changes.
Thus, with Google Photos receiving the crop document extension, cropping and correcting the perspective of an image are now much simpler. In addition, now that people have started to separate from CamScanner because of the recent malware incident, it seems like a great opportunity for Google Photos to take advantage of the situation.
