How to enable Print Logging in Event Viewer on Windows 10

It can be helpful to find the number of prints made from a single computer if someone accesses and prints from your PC without your consent. Event Observer in Windows 10 allows you to view the full log of all recently printed documents. So if you want to control your print jobs, enable print logging in Windows 10 Event Viewer.

Enable print logging in the Event Viewer

Although the printer queue allows you to view print jobs, it has limitations. For example, you can just see the recent documents listed there. If you want a complete log of all recently printed documents, you need to switch to print logging in Windows 10 Event Viewer.

To enable print logging in the Event Viewer so you can view, check, and track your print history and its use with print logs in Windows 10, you should:

  1. Open Event Viewer
  2. Access Log Properties window
  3. Enable logging

Please note that you must be logged in as an administrator to enable or disable print logging in the Event Viewer.

1) Open the Event Viewer

Click on & #39;beginning", Type"Event Observer»In the search field, then select it.

When the Event Viewer window opens, expand ‘Application and service logs'Folder.

Don't worry if you don't see the apps and services log for a while, as it may take a while for the log to be refreshed and populated.

2) Access Log Properties window

By default, the options provided include,

  • Overwrite events if necessary
  • Archive the log when full, do not overwrite events
  • Do not overwrite events (clear logs manually)
