There are tons of websites online that are capable of performing this process. However, not all of them are optimized for mobile browsers. Or some of them add their watermark mark. So after a lot of exploration, I found the perfect website for this purpose. Head to remove.bg, upload your image and it will remove the background in seconds, right from your Android device. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. Right below the Downloads option, you’ll see an Edit option. Visit this section and you will be greeted with tons of other features.

For starters, it provides various beautiful backgrounds that you can apply to your transparent images. Manual method

Well, this method requires some effort and a little bit of your time. But if you’re really looking for a perfect result, the manual is the method of choice. So to manually remove the image background on your Android device, go to the Play Store and download the Background gum app.

Open the application and load the desired image. Then, crop it as much as possible, to the edges of the image. Now start erasing the background using the brush. If you are further from the subject, you can increase the brush size to around 25-30. However, when approaching the subject, make sure to keep the tip of the brush as small as possible. In addition, zoom in on the subject while removing the background from nearby edges and corners. It really makes your job a lot smoother.

If by mistake you end up deleting part of your subject, just hit the cancel icon. In some cases, the Eraser option can also be useful. Once you’ve removed the background image on your Android device, tap the check mark to confirm the changes. On the next screen, use the Smooth setting to make the edges smooth. It is better to choose 4 or 5. Once done, press Save. The application then offers you the option of sharing it as a WhatsApp sticker or saving it on a white background (this will convert the image to JPEG, from PNG).
