How to remove Send feedback button in the new Microsoft Edge

Microsoft is still eager to work based on user feedback. Since the introduction of Windows 10, each Microsoft product and service has a feature that allows the user to send comments using a dedicated button. It is provided in applications such as the Office suite, Microsoft Edge and other Microsoft online services such as Outlook and Skype. But for those who need faster access to a ton of extensions, the Send feedback button is in the way. However, there is a way to remove the new Microsoft Edge browser based on Chromium.

Remove the Send Feedback button in Microsoft Edge

To remove the Send Smile Face Comment button in Edge, open the Windows 10 Registry Editor and navigate to the following path:

Computer HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Policies Microsoft Edge

If the path does not exist, create it.

Then create a DWORD (32 bits) and name it as well. UserFeedbackAllowed.

Adjust Value data at 0 while the base is set to be Hexadecimal. Once you are done, save the configuration.

Restart your computer to find the Send feedback button disappeared from the new Microsoft Edge browser.

This means that you will not be able to send browser comments to Microsoft.

However, if you want to recover it, set the parameter Value data be 1.

Restart your computer again to retrieve the Send Comments button.

If you wish, you can download and use our .REG files that allow you to:

  • Delete icon Send comment
  • Add Icon Send Feedback
