How to Share Live Location in Telegram for Android
Among many things for which Telegram has understood everything, the possibility of sharing a real-time live location with the person with whom you are sending SMS is really interesting. So we're trying to say how you can share the live location on Telegram and how useful it can be.
What does Live Location in Telegram mean?
The live location in Telegram is almost similar to the "Share Location" feature of Google Maps, which allows users to share their location in real time with friends.
The live location of Telegram also helps you to follow your friends and loved ones by following them in real time or for a specific period. Of course, it can also be followed by a limited follow-up in time.

Direct location sharing on Telegram
Before following the steps listed below, make sure the latest version of the Telegram app is installed on your smartphone. Indeed, the Live Location feature is only present in versions 4.4 and above of the Telegram application.
If you are using a version prior to v4.4, you will not be able to share and track the location of the people you are writing with on Telegram. They could not follow you either. To take full advantage of this feature, update your Telegram app.
Now let's get right to the point.
Step 1: Launch your Telegram app and open the chat window with which you want to share your location.
2nd step: Tap the paperclip icon next to the text box.
Step 3: A list of options will be revealed. Select the icon labeled Location.
Step 4: If you use the Live Location feature for the first time, Telegram will ask for access to use the location / GPS of your device. Grant Telegram location privileges by clicking Allow on the shortcut menu.
After that, the location sharing window of the Telegram app will appear.
Step 5: In the Location window, select the "Send my current location" option. Your current location will be embedded as text and sent to the recipient.
When it clicks on the text embedded in the location, a map containing your current location appears. Your friends can use this map to find out where you are by simply clicking the Arrow icon at the bottom of the map.
Quick advice: Drag the location map to the top and a list of nearby places (restaurants, bars, hotels, etc.) will appear. You can select these places as the current location.
Real-time location tracking on Telegram
As previously mentioned, Telegram also allows your friends and family to track your location in real time.
Here's how to enable real-time tracking in a Telegram conversation.
Step 1: Open the Telegram app and tap the name of the person with whom you want to share your location in real time. Then tap the Paperclip icon, select Location from the list of options, and in the new Location window that appears, select "Share my live location for …".
2nd step: You will be asked to choose how long you want to share your live location with the chosen individual. You can share your exact location in real time with your friend for 15 minutes, 1 hour and 8 hours.
Choose how long you want the person to follow you.
Note: You can stop sharing your location at any time. We will discuss this further in the following paragraphs.
Step 3: Click Share after choosing a location sharing time.
Step 4: After that, Telegram integrates your position into a text and sends it to the recipient. Once the recipient clicks on the text, he / she will be able to follow your movements in real time for the stipulated time you choose.
Step 5: To stop location sharing, tap the text embedded in the location, then select the 'Stop sharing location' button at the bottom of the screen.
You can also slide the notification tray of your phone down and press the 'Stop Location Sharing' button on the Telegram notification card.

Telegram offers a convenient way to share your location and follow your loved ones in real time. This feature is very useful for tracking your children while you are at work. The Live Location feature is fantastic for giving the right direction to a mapped place, a meeting place, or another pinned place.
You share your site with other people and you even form a group so that your family does not worry about you during your trip. Unfortunately, the feature is not available on the desktop / PC application or the Web version of Telegram. It is limited to the Telegram mobile application only.
