Live Streaming on the web has become a popular thing, and one of the big players is none other than Facebook with its Facebook Live a service. It has become very popular over the years and more people have found it.
How to broadcast on Facebook Live
From what we understand from our own observation, most people tend to broadcast live with a cell phone or tablet. Few people seem to use their PCs to broadcast, and that makes a lot of sense since the mobility of a computer is at the lower end.
However, if for some reason you feel the need to use a computer to broadcast on Facebook Live, we can help you because this article will explain how to get the job done.
- Open your favorite web browser
- Live video button
- Allow camera and microphone
- Choose how to configure your video
- Choose when to go live
- Streaming video games
1]Open your favorite web browser
Before doing anything else, you must first open your preferred web browser. All major web browsers should work fine, although I recommend using Firefox above all others due to its focus on privacy and its open source nature.
Firefox is second behind Chrome in terms of popularity, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a quality product.
2]Live video button
OK, so the first thing to do is visit Facebook in your web browser, then click on the button that says Live Video. You should see a camera icon next to it if you are unsure. After clicking on the button, wait for a new page to load.
3]Allow camera and microphone
Depending on your browser settings, you may be asked to allow Facebook to temporarily use your computer’s camera and microphone. Click the Allow button to do this. If you don’t, you won’t be able to stream live on the platform.
4]Choose how to configure your video
At some point, the platform will show you a section to decide how to configure your live video. There are three options here, namely Use Stream Key, Camera and Use Paired Encoder. For ordinary people, please select Camera and then click Next.

5]Choose when to go live
The final step before you start is to decide when to start the flow. The options are either Go Live Now or Schedule Live Video. The user can also view upcoming live videos and events if desired before the broadcast time.
6]Streaming video games
If you didn’t know, it’s possible to stream video games on Facebook Live, and that’s been one thing for quite some time now. To stream video games to Facebook Live from your Windows 10 computer, you’ll need to download and install Open Broadcaster Software, or OBS for short. In fact, any similar tool is good enough, so choose what works best for you.
OK, so to start, visit facebook.com/live/create, then click Create live feed. From there, be sure to select Use Flow Key under the Getting Started banner. Once you have encountered the flow key, copy and paste it into OBS Studio. From OBS Studio, click on Settings> Stream, then select Facebook Live under A service.
You should now see a section that says Stream Key. Just paste the key, press OK, and that’s it.
I hope you have a good time!
