When you choose to change your Microsoft account email and password, onedrive may not recover the change and you may see the following error message – You synchronize another account. Here is what you can do to resolve the problem.

As mentioned above, this error mainly occurs after changing the password for your Microsoft account. To correct this error:

  1. Open Credentials Manager
  2. Delete OneDrive cached credentials

Apparently, this is nothing new and continues to happen at regular intervals. Let's see how to proceed and resolve the problem.

1) Open the credential manager

Click Start, enter "credentials" in the search box, then select "Identification Information Manager»When it appears in the list of options.

2) Delete cached OneDrive credentials
