Microsoft Outlook facilitates scheduling meetings with colleagues. When a user sends an invitation and the recipient receives an invitation email with meeting details, they can join the meeting. But sometimes the recipient, when opening a meeting invitation, may not see the response options:
- J & #39; agrees,
- Provisional,
- Decline.
Here's how you can fix it.
Outlook meeting response options not visible
Instead of seeing the Accept, Provisional or Decline options for meeting invitation in Outlook, a user can only find "No answer required»Posted in the Reply section of the ribbon. This mainly occurs due to the modification of data under a Windows registry key.
To resolve this issue, you will need to change the value of DisableResponseButtons to zero (0) in the non-political section of the Windows Registry.
- Go to configuration HKEY_CURRENT_USER
- Go to Calendar folder
- Change the value of DisableResponseButtons to zero (0),
Open the Registry Editor by pressing Win + R in combination to open the "Run" dialog box. Type ‘Regedit’ and press Enter.
When the Registry Editor opens, navigate to the following location –
ComputerHKEY_CURRENT_USER
Scroll down to locate ‘Software'Folder. Once found, click on it to expand.
Then scroll down to "Microsoft& #39; then, Office > 16.0 > Perspective > The options > Calendar.
The path (16.0) depends on your version of Office.
Here, switch to the right pane of the Registry Editor window and look for the following entry – DisableResponseButtons.

Double-click this entry to open the Edit Channel area.
In the Field value data field, change the value from 1 to 0.
Close the Registry Editor and restart Outlook.
Your problem should have been resolved by now and you should be able to see the Accept, Provisional and Decline options under Outlook change response control.
