Poco recently became an independent brand and its first smartphone of the year was officially launched in India. The launch event looked like a YouTube style comparison between the Poco X2 and Realme X2. It seems that Poco wanted to take a hit at Realme with his latest smartphone. Of course, as most of us expected, the Poco X2 is essentially a renamed Redmi K30. Therefore, if you already know everything about the Redmi K3o, there is not much new to discover on the latest Poco device.
Aside from the lackluster launch event, the Poco X2 is actually a decent device. And before we go any further, we first want to clarify one thing. The X2 is not the successor to the OG Poco F1. Therefore, we would not suggest that anyone exchange their Poco F1 for the renamed Redmi K30. This does not mean, however, that you should not buy the new device. If you are looking to upgrade your smartphone with a budget below Rs. 20,000, the Poco X2 is probably the best option for most users. In addition, the source of the device kernel will be available today for developers. Therefore, you can expect many third party developments for the device soon.

Most Poco fans expected the Poco X2 to vibrate the latest SoC Snapdragon 765 with built-in 5G support. However, it looks like the only thing Poco has changed from the Redmi K30 is the brand. The device comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and back. Fortunately, the 27W fast charger comes in the box. So you wouldn’t have to spend more money to buy the quick charger separately.
