Save as video not available for Live Photo in iOS 16? Missing option in Share menu of Photos app, after updating iPhone to iOS 16, 16.1 or 16.1.1? Fortunately, it is still available but has been relocated!

Save as video not available on iOS 16?

This issue was reported by Jennifer (iPhone 12 Pro):

“iOS 16.1.1, I no longer have the option to save Live Photos as video.”

We saw many other confused users complaining on Reddit (1, 2 and 3):

“Save as video option removed from Live Photos in iOS 16.”

“Unable to save Live Photos as videos or mirror them since updating to iOS 16.”

How to Live Photo to Video in iOS 16

As mentioned above, this option has been moved and you can continue to use it:

  • 1. Open Pictures.
  • 2. Go to live photo you want to convert to video.
  • 3. Press the three dots in a circletight upper corner of the screen.
  • 4. Opt for Save as video.
  • Do: The video is created and available as the latest media in the Photos app.]

    Point: The Duplicate Live Photo option has been moved to the same menu!

How to Video Record Multiple Live Photos

the old Save as video The option in the Share menu allowed users to select and convert multiple Live Photos into video clips at once.

You can also do this in iOS 16:

  • Open Pictures app and press the Albums tongue.
  • Scroll for the Live Photos case.
  • Faucet Select and check live images you want to convert to video files.
  • Press the three dots circledthis time in the lower right corner of the screen.
  • Opt for Save as video. That’s it the new clips are available in Recent!

Do: Apparently Save as Video is not available if you select 4 or more Live Photos. Are you experiencing the same thing?
