If you're a web developer and want to test your web pages on all popular browsers and OS platforms, it can get tedious. More so if you want to test dozens of web pages daily. This is where a new service called Comparium can help. The service has not been launched yet. However, developers have a roadmap of changes and updates will be implemented in the next three post-launch updates.
Key Features of the Comparium Web Page Test
Since the service has not yet been launched, we can only make sure that the people who hide us tell us. According to their plans, the first version of Comparium will be a web application. This web application will allow you to test the design of your web page on any operating system and browser combination. You do not even need to manually test all browser and operating system combinations, because the service does it automatically for you. To test a web page, simply submit the test address and you will see the results. It will also provide you with screenshots of your webpage design, and all this will apparently occur in just a few minutes.
Browsers and Operating Systems Supported for Comparium Web Page Testing
The browsers supported in Comparium 1.0 are Microsoft Internet Explorer 11.0, 8.0, Google Chrome 75.0, 74.0, 73.0, Mozilla Firefox 68.0, 67.0 and Safari 11.0. These browsers are also available for testing on many platforms. A browser must of course also be available on a certain platform if you want to test it on said platform. For example, Internet Explorer is only available on Windows, while Safari is only available on macOS. So, you can not test Safari on Linux. Supported operating systems include Windows 10, 7, macOS Mojave, High Sierra and Linux.
Get offline reports by email
When you submit the test URL of the web page, you also enter your email address. The rest of the work, including extensive testing of all supported browsers and OS platforms, is done by Comparium. Having your email address allows Comparium to deliver the results directly into your email, if applicable. It's certainly more convenient than occasionally visiting a website or page to get the results. They also promise to send you screenshots of your web page in the email.

Comparium roadmap
For the moment, the team is working on obtaining Comparium's first fully functional web test service by the end of 2020. This version of Comparium should be available for free. However, in the future, new features could be blocked behind a payment. At the moment, there is no plan to make an API available to users. But it is planned to introduce it in the third update.
- Version 2.0
- Supports Selenium client scripts to test different scenarios on the page
- User account with offline test planning
- Version 2.5
- Real time web test on a virtual desktop in any version of any browser
- Support for a wide variety of browsers and their versions
- Version 3.0
- Free packages, Pro and Enterprise
- Access to the API
For now, Comparium will support the latest browsers and operating systems. But the team plans to extend the support base to "nearly 2,500" different browsers and browser versions on different platforms. If you are a web developer, you can view them on their official website. There, you can also submit your email address to stay abreast of progress and the eventual launch of the service.
