A Windows 10 feature upgrade, like any other, has its own set of issues, and it looks like the 2004 release has a lot of storage issues. One of the issues that limited Windows 10 to upgrading is related to Joint storage spaces. Windows 10 PCs receive an error stating:
This PC cannot be upgraded to Windows 10. Your PC is not supported on this version of Windows. No action is required. Windows Update will automatically offer this version of Windows 10 once the problem is resolved.
While this sounds like a general mistake, one of the reasons is because of the problem with Joint storage spaces after updating to Windows 10, version 2004 and Windows Server, version 2004.
Cause of error
If your Windows 10 PC uses parity storage spaces, storage may experience problems accessing ore after updating to Windows 10 2004, including the server version. It will display RAW parity storage spaces in Disk Manager when using certain configurations. however, Simple storage spaces and Mirror storage spaces are not affected by this problem.
Joint storage spaces are excellent for large files such as videos and compared to others; they do not require double the disks. Although the performance is slow, it works very well for multimedia files.

That said, Microsoft detailed a solution with a set of warnings on what you should do next. Although Windows Update does not allow you to upgrade, if you forced the upgrade, here are two caveats:
- Reverting to previous versions of Windows does not solve this problem on the affected devices.
- Do not run the chkdsk command on a device affected by this problem.
The workaround is to apply the steps and wait for a full mitigation or update to resolve this problem. If you try one of the storage tools, it will damage the wire, especially if the volume is displayed in RAW in Disk Manager.
Workaround to resolve the accessibility of parity storage spaces
Use WIN + X to open the Power menu and select PowerShell (admin). In the PowerShell window, enter and run the following command:
Get-VirtualDisk | ? ResiliencySettingName -eq Parity | Get-Disk | Set-Disk -IsReadOnly $true
This command will define your read-only storage spaces. He will ensure that the data is accessible and not lost. However, you will not be able to write to them.
One of the biggest drawbacks is that if your volume is considered RAW, it should be readable; it will not work. It only means that the workaround is not complete, and if you haven’t upgraded, please don’t force Windows upgrade just because you can.
