Uber Live Activities iOS 16 functionality is finally available for iPhone owners who update to the latest version of the app! Version 3.539.10003 or later lets you get real-time tracking on the lock screen and dynamic island!
Uber Live activities not working?
Apple has been demoing Uber Live Activities on iPhone since unveiling iOS 16 at WWDC 2022. Surprisingly, the popular ride-sharing app has been very slow to update with support for this new iOS 16 feature.
Many users have tried using Uber Live Activities without success!
The wait is over, however. All you need to do is update your Uber app in the App Store (direct link) and this long-awaited lock screen widget will be available.
How to Fix Live Activities Not Working on iOS 16
Real-time Uber tracking still not working after app update? Here’s how to fix it:
- 1. Open Settings on iPhone and scroll down to Uber application.
- 2. Press this.
- 3. To light up Live Activities.
Do: You can turn off Uber notifications and Live Activities will still work
Uber Live Activity Dynamic Island
iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max users can also interact with live activities on the home screen through Dynamic Island.
When you unlock the iPhone and an Uber Live activity is in progress, the dynamic island expands and a taxi icon is displayed there. Press the icon to access the rate monitoring screen.
Uber Live activity issues?

- 1. Location services blue arrow blocks the left part of the island with displays the estimated time, only showing the right part of the island, which only displays the Uber logo. Reported by Reddit user.
